Fall is just around the corner, and I’m so excited for fall style to be back. If you love layers, loafers, jeans, and cozy knits, you know just what I mean. But, this post is also for those of you who might feel like getting dressed for fall is stressful or has you feeling uninspired.

Today’s post is full of fall mom outfits you can wear all fall, whether you’re heading to a pumpkin patch, work, or on vacation. I turn to a lot of these outfits frequently, and I think they’re pretty versatile. Some of these outfits work for early fall and others are perfect for once it gets colder outside.
What To Wear For Fall As A Mom
Casual Fall Weekend Outfit
Jeans, a t-shirt, and a lightweight layer is a fall uniform that will never fail you. Instead of reaching for a sweatshirt, add a chic layer over your t-shirt. A suede shirt jacket, tailored denim jacket, leather shirt jacket, or an oversized cardigan are all options that will leave you feeling more put together than a sweatshirt.

Early Fall Date Night Outfit

I recently wore this to dinner with my family, but it also works for a dinner or movie night with your significant other.
Pumpkin Patch Outfit Idea
Are you going to the pumpkin patch with your little ones? This will be the first year where a proper pumpkin patch trip will make sense for our toddler, and I’m so excited. I’ll either wear these super comfortable pants that I wear all the time on the weekends, or I might wear jeans. No one will fault you for wearing a cute sweater and jeans if you want to have a nice family photo at the pumpkin patch! Shoes will depend on the weather, but sneakers are always a good option.
Matching Set For A Travel Day
Everyone knows how busy moms are on travel days, especially if you’re traveling with your kids. So, this matching set is perfect for a seamless fall travel day. You won’t even have to think about what you’re wearing because it’s all figured out for you with this set. You can wear it by itself, or you can layer over it with your trench coat, a suede coat, or a warmer coat – depending on where you’re heading! Fall Work Outfit
A small fall capsule wardrobe for your days in the office will make getting dressed for work easy. Capsule wardrobes doesn’t have to be for everything you wear and everywhere you go. Oftentimes, it’s easier to create a small capsule wardrobe for different parts of your life, especially for the areas of your life you find it tricky to get dressed for. Work is the perfect example. A pair of pants you love, a skirt, a button up, a sweater, a blazer, a nice shell top, and shoes will go a long way. You can mix and match these pieces. You can also rewear a lot of these pieces in other parts of your life!
Winery Day Trip With Friends
Is it just me, or is there something about going to a winery that makes you want to dress in a cute outfit? A suede shirt jacket with a sleeveless cashmere top is perfect for spending time outside this fall. This outfit is versatile, so you can layer with a top with sleeves, and you can wear different shoes depending on the weather.
Monochrome Outfit For Work, Vacation, Or Anywhere You’re Going This Fall

The Sweater You’ll Wear To Work, On Weekends, And For Travel
This cardigan is a true closet hero. It goes with everything. It’s never too much, and it’s never not dressy enough. It looks nice with skirts, jeans, and work pants. I love this hazelnut color for my wardrobe, but I’d also like it in black this fall since I wore it so much the past couple of years. It comes in so many different colors that you can easily find one that works with everything in your wardrobe.

I styled this outfit for the late summer, but it’s one I’m wearing into the fall too. I actually can’t wait to style this same look with boots.
Linen Button Up With Your Favorite Pants or Skirt
I was recently gifted this linen button up by Quince. It comes in lots of colors, and I love this deep green option for fall. Depending on where you live, you can wear linen pretty late into the fall. Here in DC, I can wear this through most of October. Linen is a summer material, but it’s definitely appropriate to still wear it into the fall, especially when you choose a color like this one.
