Pants And A Button Up For Spring, Summer, and Fall
I’m writing this as summer slowly turns to fall, so I’ve been wearing this outfit a lot. Linen is definitely still a closet staple here in DC in September. Anyway, you’ll never go wrong with a perfectly oversized linen button up, whether you wear it with jeans, linen pants, or over a dress. I love to wear this top with all three in the spring, summer, and early fall! This is also a good outfit to keep in your rotation all year if you live somewhere warm. My linen button up was kindly gifted to me, and I’ve loved wearing it non stop!
Jeans And A Button Up For Winter And Cold Days
One of my favorite ways to style a cotton button up for cold days is by wearing a sleeveless cashmere sweater underneath the button up. This is the exact cashmere sweater I’m wearing, and it’s only $60. I wear it all the time in the winter, fall, and spring. I meant to add some sock tights with these fun silver flats, too. I own and love these sock tights, and I wear them all winter with my flats and loafers.

Cozy Weekend Outfit Perfect For Coffee, Errands, and Travel
These pants are the most comfortable pants ever. They’re 100 percent cotton, and they come in several other colors. They have a subtle elastic waist, which I love, and a delicate pointelle pattern that is also very subtle. They’re essentially elevated sweatpants, but no one would really think you look like you’re wearing sweatpants. I’m wearing size medium.
How To Style A Classic Trench Coat With a Casual Outfit
A trench coat is one way to add a chic layer to your outfit, especially if you’re wearing something really simple like I am here. This outfit is just elevated loungewear pants that I’m also wearing above, a t-shirt cardigan, and I dressed it up with earrings and loafers. But, adding a trench coat also works with jeans and a t-shirt. This is my exact trench, and there are seriously so many good options, whether you like a shorter style or a standard trench coat length. If you like to have a capsule wardrobe, you should definitely add a trench coat to your closet.

Denim tends to make outfits feel a little more casual, and in this case, it’s in a good way. Honestly, if there were any super chic piece of denim, it would be a denim trench coat. To me, this feels like the ultimate on-trend, casual chic look!

A Hill House dress is a closet staple for so many women on the east coast. It’s comfortable, cute, you can dress it up or down, and it’s breathable, which is a necessity for our humid summers. I always share this look because I wear it all the time when the weather is cool enough. This blazer is so good because it can be worn like this or you can wear it buttoned and with the belt it comes with. The fabric belt is also incredibly flattering because you can belt it where it works the best for you. I don’t know how they knew how to cut this blazer just right, but it’s perfect.

Wear Loafers Instead Of Sneakers
What is it about loafers that adds a chic finishing touch to a casual outfit? I constantly turn to loafers instead of sneakers whenever possible because they make me feel like me. But, they also instantly elevate any outfit. As you can see below, they work with outfits in all different seasons, including jeans and dresses. Don’t be afraid to wear your socks with loafers so you can wear them when it’s cold too. I love to wear all types of socks and sock tights with mine. My mom always did this when I was growing up, so I took style notes from her on this but I know this is also a popular way to wear loafers right now. Just know, it never went out of style!
