How to Style Black Linen Pants For Work, The Weekend, And Everything In-between

Hi there! It’s hard to believe linen season is already here. Linen is such a popular fabric for warmer seasons, especially here in DC since it gets so hot and humid. It’s no wonder why! Linen is breathable in the heat and it’s comfortable. It makes me think what it would be like to wear a cloud, ha.

Anyway, I love most things that come in linen during the summer, but black linen pants are a closet staple. They’re versatile, so you can wear them to work, you can wear them to run errands, or you can put together a date night outfit around them. They’re also a good wardrobe staple to have in your closet to take you into fall.

Black Linen Pants Outfit Ideas

Like I mentioned, there are so many ways to wear black linen blacks no matter what you’re doing. Today, I’m sharing a round up of ways to style black linen pants, whether you’re going for comfort or a sophisticated look! First, here are a few pairs I love. I own the first pair I linked, and they’re what I’m wearing throughout this post.

Classic Black Linen Pants Work Outfit

This entire outfit consists of wardrobe staples. Let’s start with my black linen pants. I bought these from Abercrombie and they are gorgeous! I also love this pair, which are fully stocked right now – I actually can’t figure out the difference between this pair and mine! Sometimes I think how funny it is that I’m wearing Abercrombie well into my 30s considering I used to wear them in high school all the time. Anyway, the quality is amazing on these. I also love how they come in short, regular, and tall lengths so you can get the perfect cut for your height. I don’t mind tailoring pants, but I never have to do that with Abercrombie.

This button up is my favorite oversized white button up because it’s made of a thick cotton. It is truly oversized, so be sure to size down one size. I’m wearing my every day jewelry here and a pair of shoes (linked similar) I love for the season. But, you can dress this look up with low heeled sandals or dress it down with casual espadrilles. Okay, I also love this belt, which was gifted to me by Sezane. It’s gorgeous in person – the perfect combination of brown and black – and so well made.

Weekend Or After Work Black Linen Pants And T-Shirt

This outfit is also easy to recreate! I’m wearing one of my favorite t-shirts (it is so soft!) and comfortable sneakers for a relaxed weekend look. I also tried on and purchased these mesh ballet flats when I was wearing these pants, and I happen to love them together.

Black Linen Pants For Travel

This pair of black linen pants looks perfect for travel. The elastic waistband is kind of a give away that they’re comfortable. I love a matching set, and this long sleeve linen top is a nice option for flying. You’ll have long sleeves in case you get cold in the car or on the plane, but linen is super breathable in case it’s warm! Sometimes I like to wear a tank top under a button up like this when I travel in case it’s really warm at my destination. You can just tie your linen top around your waist or put it in your carry on.

If you need to save space, wear these with black ballet flats that you can wear again at your destination.

Wide Leg Black Linen Pants

These wide leg pants are so fun and totally different than what I normally go for. I still think they look like a classic option though. They’re perfect for date night or something else fun – like an outdoor concert, a winery trip, or even just a catch up with friends. I styled them with an on-trend denim vest and these black sandals for comfort, but they’re also chic.

Black Linen Pants Outfit To Wear Anywhere

I’ve shared this look before, but I love it and it’s just so versatile. There are so many different ways to wear a button up with linen pants. You can tuck it in, wear it open with a tank top, or tie the front in a knot. I love this look with mesh ballet flats or the sandals above for a summery vibe.

I know white linen is also a popular option for spring and summer. Most of these outfits would also work with white linen pants too if you prefer those for summer! The outfit I put together for a travel day also comes in white! Thanks so much for stopping by today.
