But, it’s not a negative thing! I’ve embraced discovering new style and outfit preferences with new responsibilities. It has really made me focus on what works in my closet and what doesn’t. Okay, when I say mom outfits, I mean outfit ideas that are practical but still look good!
White Linen Skirt And Striped Linen Shirt
This outfit is perfect for the busy mom on the go because it works for work, the skirt is long enough to chase your toddler around in, and everything is super soft. If you’re heading to the office, I’d probably fully tuck in my shirt but that’s the only change I’d make. I love this belt with sun medallions on it to add a little bit of fun to it! Brown Linen Shirtdress
A linen shirtdress is a summer staple. You can do so much with this style of dress – wear it to work, wear it for errands, or even style it was a swimsuit cover up. I love how it’s chic and practical at the same time.
Summer, Spring, or Fall Blazer With Jeans
A blazer that you love will go a long way in your closet. It can disguise a pair of jeans and a t-shirt – or other simple outfits – as something really polished. I always feel so confident when I wear this blazer (SIMILAR HERE), for example. The new version is a cotton-linen blend, but it’s also by Sezane. You can easily wear the blazer casually like I am below or over a dress for work. It’s slightly oversized, but I still love how it looks with these wide leg jeans because both pieces are very tailored.

I dressed up this blazer with a linen skirt for a special outing with my family! Both the skirt and the blazer are easy to style with casual pieces or dressier options. I love how they look with a t-shirt or a blouse. I’m wearing a linen t-shirt here with ballet flats and a raffia bag to bring a springtime feel to my look even though it was super windy that day! This is a good option for church or work too!

Another option for a blazer and skirt outfit when it’s cold is a black maxi skirt and a wool blazer. I love this skirt because it comes in different lengths and this blazer. These lined linen shorts are another closet hero for me on hot days. I can’t believe how much I’ve been wearing them, but they’ve been perfect for pool days and just weekend activities outside in general.

I love to mix trendier pieces with classic pieces. These barrel leg chino pants and cow print belt definitely feel trendier, while my top is a classic cotton button up that works with literally anything.

Linen pants are so easy to throw on and go, whether you’re heading to a playdate, brunch with friends, or traveling like I was. I wore this outfit for an entire day on Nantucket, including the ferry ride to and from the island, grabbing a coffee, walking around the shops, and out for lunch! I steamed these pants to perfection before we left, but this is just what linen does throughout a busy day! I love how you can style these pants with casual mesh flats like I did or wear them with slingbacks for a little bit of a dressier look.
